• Boosters Basketball League
Our basketball league consists of 5 separate age divisions. The age divisions are 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, and 16-Senior year in high school. The Boosters Basketball season will last from Mid-May, through Early September. Each team will play up to 9 or more games for each season, with 1 practice every week, and 1 team community event, per regular season, per team. Every registered child will play at least 1 or more quarters every game. We hold playoffs at the end of the season, with 1 League Championship, and 1 All-Star Championship, as well as an end of year Boosters Banquet. Coming soon, Boosters Basketball will offer training camps for new, or inexperienced basketball players, to prepare them for the upcoming seasons.
The size of the ball, and the height of the basketball rim for Boosters Basketball is specifically adjusted to add the correct proportion to the youth game of basketball. For example; NBA players compete using a regulation10 foot rim, and a 29.5 inch ball. Respectfully, NBA players are adults, and are usually much taller than todays youth. The idea is to have the ages 8-9 and 10-11 division players compete on 8 foot rims. Ages 12-13 and 14-15 will compete on 9 foot rims. Lastly, our 16-18 year old players will compete on regulation 10 foot rims.
Our plan is to unite players from different schools to compete on the same team, for the same goal. This is a great way to meet new kids, and build a bond that may not have been made if not put in this position. Parents are always urged to volunteer, and have the chance to be placed first on our "Booster's Boosters" volunteer list. Students who do not play basketball can come to games and support their favorite teams. This is an excellent community event that can be enjoyed by ALL ages!
All players who register with Boosters, will have the opportunity to present their final report card to our organization, to earn funding for their school. With all students graded on a number scale, for each "4" they received on the final report card a monetary payment is donated. The same goes for every student graded on an alphabetical scale, will gain funding for their school based on "A's" received. Our goal to make a direct effect, at the end of the school year to "Boost" the school to a better upcoming year! The "Scores for Scores" program gives the child a perfect opportunity prove the mission of being a "Booster". Not only elevating themselves, but the community as well.

• Boosters Learning Center (Coming Soon)
The Boosters Learning Center is coming soon, to work hand and hand with the basketball league. Our goal is to always have a place for children to come to and learn and be assisted with school work. Our learning center has a strong focus on guiding Learning Center Members to find the correct answer to build a self sufficient attitude. Boosters Learning Center does not specifically teach children new information, we only amplify the basic school curriculum already provided.
Booster learning center always has an instructor on site during the summer season. During the school season they are available after school hours. The resources at this location are provided to help students retain information during the summer break. Generally this is the time of the year with the most downtime, that causes students to need a refresher when returning to school. We plan to combat this with fun activities, and daily opportunities Monday - Friday all 12 months. Parents will have the chance to send their children any day they would like, or they can purchase a yearly membership for those children that may go more frequently.
Not only does this program give students a "Boost" when they most need it, but it's an overall fun environment that we will expand every year based strictly on students suggestions. Also, with our program, 11th and 12th grade students who are on the A,B, honor roll, and plan to be future teachers or instructors can build their Teaching experience by volunteering as a learning center tutor. This will help those with in school achievements "Boost" their confidence, leadership, and organizational skills, to prepare them for the future.
The Boosters plan is to assist children and build a positive future, starting from elementary grade level into adulthood. Not only self growth, but community growth as well. The Boosters Learning Center is the foundation of all sponsored community events for basketball and learning center members. This is our central location, and we are always open to any volunteers willing to enhance growth internally and externally.
